Our history

The Galaxies Models Group was created in April, 2021 and started working under a virtual modality.  Given the advantages of interacting remotely, some of our group activities are carried out online and others in person at the Institute for Astronomy and Space Physics (IAFE), Argentina. At the moment, we are nine members: three PhDs in Physics, one PhD in Astronomy, three PhD students and two graduates in Physics (Licenciados en Física).

We are involved in different national and international research projects focused on the study of galaxy formation and evolution. To achieve our goals, we use theoretical models, numerical simulations and statistical techniques.  The comparison between  model galaxies and real ones is crucial in our work, for which we have the support of different observers.
